ROOST

Ride tracker for the way down

Roost records a mountain bike ride and splits it into the parts that actually happened: the descents, the climbs, and the ride back up.

Start it at the trailhead and put the phone in your pocket. There is nothing to tap between runs, nothing to remember at the top, and nothing to tidy up afterwards.

What it counts

Descents
Laps, vert, top speed, airtime. The part you came for.
Climbs
Counted honestly as riding. Never scored, never coached.
Uplift
Chairlift, gondola, shuttle. Detected, and kept out of your riding stats.

Bike parks and regular trail rides both. The park is home turf, not a requirement.

Where it is

In development, and being tested on real ride days in the Colorado Front Range — Trestle, Keystone, Argo, and the trail networks in between. Recording and classification run on the phone, offline, because parks have bad coverage and that is the normal case rather than the edge case.

There is no download yet and nothing to sign up for. When there is, it will be here.
